Here is a steam locomotive portrait of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9974, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company as number "9788" during July of 1913, renumbered "9974" in 1951, and retired in August of 1957 after 44 years of faithful service. Note that the bell has been removed in preparation for scrapping. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. (#23 of 33) |
