Description:
Here is an example of the 1929-30 SP built Mt-5 class Mountain type locomotive, again much plainer looking than the custom done #4336. Specifics - Mt-1, 73.5" drivers, 28x30" cylinders, 210 psi boiler pressure, tractive effort of 57,120 lb, engine weight of 368,000 lb, oil fired loco. No surviving examples. The date and photographer were not listed for this photo.
